Johnny Ma

A pharmacist with more than 25 years in pharmacy benefits management and pharmaceutical consulting, Johnny spent years as a private payer decision-maker, evaluating submissions and shaping formulary design, before co-founding Mapol, where he now advises manufacturers navigating that same process from the commercial side. His work spans the full product lifecycle, from launch strategy and formulary positioning to new indications, loss-of-exclusivity planning, and biosimilar readiness, across both private and public payer systems. Under his leadership Mapol has grown into the trusted market access intelligence partner to manufacturers across Canada. Johnny is a recognized voice on the future of private drug plans, with recent work on vaccine coverage inequities, benefits contract modernization, and plan design for preventive care. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Toronto.
Corinne Razem

Corinne oversees the daily operations that drive clients' private payer reimbursement, providing strategic and operational leadership for Mapol's business intelligence, market research, and consulting activities. With years of experience across the human resources and insurance industries, and particular expertise in employer-sponsored benefits plans, she translates complex pharmaceutical, drug plan, and reimbursement issues into clear, actionable insights. A trusted subject-matter expert on Canadian market access, private payer strategy, and drug plan policy, Corinne is a lead writer and manages production of the Drug Benefit Communiqué® and Rapid Intelligence Monitor. She also oversees the Payer Webinar Series and advisory boards, manages Mapol's Market Access Essential Services (MAES) subscription, and trains clients on how to leverage the platform's information and insights. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce and a Human Resources Management diploma from McMaster University.
Yvan Tran

Yvan leads the advancement of Mapol's data and technology capabilities, including the data services platforms behind the Drug Reimbursement Monitor (DRM) Reports and Time-to-Listing forecasts. A licensed pharmacist in Ontario with more than 20 years in healthcare, he connects clinical processes, health information systems, and analytics into practical, high-impact solutions. At Shoppers Drug Mart he led requirements for an innovative real-time clinical decision-support tool, and his earlier experience includes an internship with the World Health Organization. With Mapol since 2014, Yvan holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Université de Montréal, completed an industrial pharmacy residency at the University of Toronto, and earned graduate credentials in health informatics and electronic health record implementation from Université de Sherbrooke. He is fully bilingual in English and French.

Lara helps manufacturers navigate the Canadian reimbursement landscape, drawing on nearly 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry, more than 10 of them specializing in private payer market access. Her particular expertise spans product submissions, private payer engagement, and evidence development. She leads new product submissions and resubmissions at Mapol, directs analytical work in health economics and budget-impact modeling, and supports strategic communication initiatives including the Drug Benefit Communiqué®. Lara holds a Master of Science in Drug Development from Université de Montréal, is bilingual in English and French, and is based in Montréal.
Sue-Lee Pring

Sue-Lee spent more than 20 years building and scaling marketing operations for global brands, including AIR MILES, ATI, Sony, and IBM, before joining Mapol. With expertise spanning direct and digital marketing, custom publishing, and event management, she pairs creative leadership with operational discipline. Sue-Lee oversees marketing communications, brand, and promotional activities, including marketing for the Payer Webinar Series, and manages the firm's finances, from budgeting and reporting to cash flow. She holds an MBA in Business Strategy and a BBA in Marketing and Organizational Behaviour from York University's Schulich School of Business.

Since joining Mapol in 2021, he has brought a strong analytical mindset and cross-sector perspective from prior experience in finance and the energy sector, turning complex payer data into the structured, actionable insights behind Mapol's reporting, analytics, and client service offerings. Kenneth holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and an MBA in General Management from Clark University in Massachusetts, and is professionally proficient in English and French.
Peter Ma

Peter brings hands-on experience from both sides of the Canadian drug plan ecosystem, from retail and hospital pharmacy operations to national payer decision-making. At Express Scripts Canada he supported the prior authorization process and Drug Evaluation Committee, then led business development and execution of its Product Listing Agreement (PLA) process, gaining firsthand insight into how payers evaluate, negotiate, and operationalize PLAs. At Mapol he is central to producing the Drug Reimbursement Monitor (DRM) Reports and Time-to-Listing forecasts and supports the Market Access Essential Services (MAES) platform, grounding Mapol's intelligence in real-world payer context. He is a Registered Pharmacy Technician in Ontario.

Since joining Mapol in 2023, she has brought curiosity, thoughtful problem-solving, and attention to detail to the operations behind Mapol's member services, supporting the Payer Webinar Series and the firm's financial administration. Angela holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies (Design) and Second Language Learning (French) from the University of Toronto, and an Ontario Graduate Certificate (Honours) in Behavioural Science from Humber College.
Barath Suresh

Barath manages the operations and logistics behind Mapol's Payer Webinar Series and keeps client projects moving, bridging provider-side experience and industry strategy. Before joining Mapol, he spent more than 12 years in hospital pharmacy at North York General Hospital, where his work spanned oncology, sterile compounding, and workflow management, and was named Pharmacy Preceptor of the Year in 2019. As a sessional lecturer he has trained future pharmacy professionals in virtual and hybrid formats, translating clinical detail into clear, practical project plans. A Registered Pharmacy Technician in Ontario, Barath holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Shadan College of Pharmacy in Hyderabad.
